Description
I don't usually create scenes this clean (free from dirt and grime) but this was for a print ad and I was going for a sort of "Restoration Hardware Catalogue" look.Enjoy!

I'd only mention that I think the hilite area on the sink's left is too washed out, like an overexposed photograph.
Otherwise...

I agree with digidust, that highlight seems a little too strong. Anyways, Dang!!!

Do you that guy that work as Art Director Cyan, Inc?
10/19/04 @383
Nice lighting. Thoug try to have both highlights AND dark areas.
Could use some dirt as well. That's whats giving it away. Brand new
toothbrush, and no marks on the glass. Not even a spot on the mirror.
Keep it up!

Ljoha - Yeah, I am the Art and Visual Design Director for Cyan
MorteR - I agree that to make it truly convincing as a photo it needs some dirt and such...if you read my description you'll see that I was going for something really clean because it's for a print ad ( "sort of a Restoration Hardware Catalogue look" )
Anyway, thanks for the comments. I'm enjoying them.

It was long time ago, once I have seen game Riven and after that I fall in love with 3D. I began to be interested with it. I even have ordered from America SGI Indigo2 with Softimage3D. Has bought the book " Inside Softimage 3D ". There was your interview. I read that and spoke wow! Cool! It was about how you do this game. To me was so pity that not you and not your comany did continuation of this game further !
Best Regards,
Alex

If you're interested in more Cyan related stuff, we did release URU: Ages Beyond Myst last spring - it's only for PC, and it's real-time 3D, but I'm very proud of what we were able to accomplish in that as well.
I'm also working on a short-film called "The Mantis Parable". Anyone interested in following along the progress of the film is welcome to stop by www.themantisparable.com
Thanks again!
